Refund Policy
Effective date: 18 May 2026
1. Summary
You may request a full refund within 14 days of the date of purchase, for any reason and regardless of whether the subscription has been used. After 14 days, refunds are no longer available, but you can cancel at any time to stop future renewals. This 14-day policy applies in addition to any statutory consumer rights you may have under the law of your country.
2. Cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time from the Settings page in your parent dashboard at kidguard.family. Cancellation prevents the next renewal charge. Your Premium access continues to the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Cancellation alone does not produce a refund of the current period — use the 14-day refund route above if you also want your money back.
3. Service failure exception
If KidGuard is unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours due to a failure on our side — and not due to your Android device, your home network, Google Play, or your child uninstalling the app — we will, on request, issue a pro-rated credit toward your next renewal. To request this credit, email support@kidguard.family with a brief description of the outage and the dates affected.
4. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law, EU consumer law where applicable, or other mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction. In particular, where a product is not as described, or where a service does not match the description on this website, you may be entitled to a remedy more generous than the policy above.
5. How to request a refund
To request a refund within the 14-day window, email support@kidguard.family with your purchase email and the date you subscribed. Refunds are processed via Stripe back to your original payment method and may take up to 10 working days to appear on your statement.
6. Disputes and chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at support@kidguard.family before initiating a bank chargeback. We are usually able to resolve billing issues directly and faster than the chargeback process.
